Ready -

One of the biggest things people tell themselves is "it won't happen to me".  If polled, how many people do you think would raise their hand that they too thought that it only happened to others.  Somehow we have grown to believe we are "safe" without needing to take steps to ensure that we really are.  I know from personal experience, you can be assaulted by strangers or family at any age.  Unfortunately, there is no reason or rhyme to why they do it, when they do it, or to whom they do it to.

I, personally, was just 8 years old and my attacker was a family member.  Luckily, I have a strong family and we have moved on. However, not all victims are that lucky.

Do you want to base your safety on “luck”?

Armed -

Armed means so many different things. To most they go straight to guns. I carry a gun, but I’m armed with more. I’m armed with knowledge! Because I see that my safety is in my own hands, I became an instructor for NSDI Safe.  This program, although basic, empowers women to learn how to be aware of what is going on around them. It also teaches some basic moves that will help you if you ever do face a situation where self-defense is necessary.

'S.A.F.E.'(an acronym for Self-defense Awareness & Familiarization Exchange) is an unparalleled 2-hour educational awareness, crime-victim prevention program – encompassing Strategies, Techniques, Options, and Prevention – that provides teenaged & adult women with information that may reduce their risk of exposure to violence and introduces them to the physical aspects of self-defense.

Many of our Independent Sales Representatives offer training of some kind. NRA, Refuse to be a Victim, just to name a few. They also are a big part of empowerment groups. Women shooting clubs and other support groups.
